Subcommittees

Alongside its full committee, UCU Glasgow has the following subcommittees focused on specific topics:

A Subcommittee is a group of members who meet regularly to discuss concerns, share knowledge, and advance issues covered by their specific remit (see the individual pages for details) within the University of Glasgow. Subcommittees often then develop policy proposals that will then be taken forward for negotiation with senior management. If you are interested in being involved in any of the above subcommittees, please go to their specific page (linked above) to see who to contact. All subcommittees also have a member of the branch committee who focuses on that area (often the same person), to make sure there is active communication between the Subcommittee and the Branch Committee. They can also be contacted about these issues, or you can email ucug@glasgow.ac.uk. See the branch committee page for further details.

There are also a number of more informal Working Groups which are set up or activated on a more ad-hoc basis to deal with specific issues as they come up. As with subcommittees, any member can get involved. If you want to find out more, please get in touch with ucug@glasgow.ac.uk, citing the Working Group you are interested in.
